Course Syllabus 8th Grade Science - Mr. Crosby

1st Grading Period

Welcome to 8th Grade Science! Our focus for the 2002 - 2003 school year is to study our physical world and how it relates to our lives. The first Grading Period will focus on Measurement in Science, Making observations, developing Hypothesis to problems and analyzing data.

The Key chapters from our Book include Chapters 1 and 2 and will involve many labs not associated with the text book. SEE MODULE 1 for activities and help on the metric system of measurement.

2nd Grading Period

During the Second grading period students will investigate chemical and physical changes in matter and will classify given items as either substances or mixtures. Many labs will be completed during this grading period. An online module will help students as we study the Periodic Table.

3rd Grading Period

4th Grading Period

5th Grading Period

6th Grading Period
